K- 4th Grade

“Train up a child in the way he should go…” Proverbs 22:6

Learning Philosophy:
Learning should be fun with lots of discovery and exploration through hands-on learning. My goal for each child, is to become the best they can become.
Every student is different, so we will use a variety of teaching techniques. We will enjoy learning through games, projects, hands-on activities, and field trips just to mention a few.
I believe, children are unique and need a stimulating and safe environment where they can grow; spiritually, physically, and mentally.
Communication is key to a successful year. I will communicate through; homework packets (Monday), weekend folders (Friday), Parent/Teacher Conference, emails, and texts. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

God in Our Classroom:
God will be the center of our classroom. He will be integrated into every subject. We will make Him an important part of every day through, worship, bible class, memorizing memory verses, prayer, and song.

My Favorite Thing About Teaching:
“Is the aha moment.” That moment when they realize they understand it and can do it!

Finally:
I feel privileged to have your children in my classroom and look forward to getting to know each one.

Hobbies:
My favorite thing is to spend time with my family.
I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, crocheting, gardening, hiking, and board games… just to mention a few hobbies.

About Me:
My husband and I met and started dating when we were 16. We attended Academy and College together and were married a week after Graduating.
I started my teaching career in Michigan where I taught in a K-2 classroom for the next 5 years.
My husband then got a call to work at Pine Springs Ranch, which he excepted. We decided at that point that I would stay at home with our first-born son, Cory. Colton, our second son, soon joined our family and I enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom focusing on raising our two sons.
Then in 2006 I returned to teaching and spent the next 14 years teaching 2nd & 3rd (1 year), 3rd & 4th (2 years), and then K-4 (for 11 years). In all, I have taught multi-grades for 19+ years.
My Family:
Cory (left) is my first-born son and is the assistant cook at Pine Springs Ranch. Colton (middle) is my second son and is attending La Sierra University. My husband, Fritz, is on the right and is the maintenance director, working his 24th year at Pine Springs Ranch.
